Toe ek in 78 matrikuleer en daarna gaan studeer het, was daar bitter min uitlaatkleppe vir kreatiewe Afrikaans. Daar was skaars kunstenaars wat ordentelik in Afrikaans kon sing en ons studies was hoofsaaklik uit Engelse handboeke
Die prentjie het sederdien drasties verander met Afrikaans wat nie meer die taal van die onderdrukker is nie en kommersieel 'n bloeitydperk beleef.
Ons kan deesdae trots wees om onsself uit te druk in Afrikaans en dit is soos terapie om hier, sommer net te skryf wat jy dink en ook in gedigte meer kreatief te werk te gaan met die taal soos ons hom praat.
